Hughes attended an artists residency at Cite’ Internationale des Art, in Paris, France for seven months between 2011 and 2016 which resulted in a photographic guidebook to the hidden shopping streets, entitled Paris Walks (available for purchase on this site). Her artwork has been exhibited Internationally and is held in private collections in the United States, and Europe. She has been published in various Arts and Literary Reviews.

Colorado born John Wilson has an extensive background in construction. As an artist he is self-taught and has an affinity for reusing materials. A constant thread in his art is the use of graphic images placed out of context, and recycled, reconstructed, and disassembled tools and electronics. His collaboration with members of the San Francisco Artist community resulted in several large-scale metal art projects that have been shown internationally. His current work in Virginia focuses on large-scale sculpture that includes movement as a significant dimension.

Wilson & Hughes dedicated an exterior wall of their gallery building to curated graffiti projects, and show nationally and internationally known artists. They are formative members of the downtown Art by Night program, and were instrumental in creating the Downtown Roanoke Arts District where they reside. Both artists have resided in Paris, France at the Cite Internationale des Arts and have received the Grant for Artists Program from the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge, Roanoke VA.
